Stellina Ristorante Opens in Oyster Bay

Intimate Italian dining experience with a specially crafted menu.

Stellina Ristorante, an Italian restaurant opened last month in Oyster Bay with hopes to become the next shining star in town. With limited seating for 40, the owners say that they hope to create “an atmosphere of dining in a small restaurant in Italy — sometimes in the seaside of the Amalfi Coast, other times in the hills of Tuscany.”

The starter menu includes Polpette al Sugo, wood fired oven roasted meatballs made from veal, beef, pork and lamb and slow cooked in their San Marzano tomato sauce and topped with reggiano red cow parmigiano ($14) and a Ricotta di Bufala e Tartufo, fresh buffalo ricotta with urbani truffle honey, fresh black winter truffle and arugula served with crispy pane carasau ($14).

The list of pizzas include a Margherita with San Marzano tomato sauce, fiordilatte mozzarella, evo, and basil ($15); Four Formaggi, with fiordilatte mozzarella, provola, gorgonzola, and reggiano ($18); and Ricotta di Bufala e Tartufo with buffalo ricotta, arugula, truffle honey and fresh shaved black winter truffles ($25).

Their Primi and Secondi menus include an assortment of freshly crafted pasta  and meat dishes that brings a the experience of Italy to Oyster Bay.

On Yelp, Mike T, from Oyster Bay, gave it five stars.

“I couldn’t get in, so we ordered for take out the tartufo pizza and the agnolotti; delicious; looking forward to dining in sometime,” he wrote. “Owners Tom and Adrianna were extremely gracious and made me feel very welcome.”

Gabrielle P, from Syosset, also gave it five stars.

“I came to Stellina on opening night and it was 10/10 incredible,” she wrote. “Every dish tasted like it had been perfected for years. So nice to have a modern Italian restaurant in Oyster Bay. I will be coming back incessantly!”
