Réserve Restaurant Opens in Huntington

Fine dining restaurant brings haute new American cuisine with a French flair.

Reserve in Huntington held its grand opening last month and online reviews have been glowing.

On Yelp, Gabriel T, from Brooklyn, gave the restaurant five stars.

“Had steak dinners here and the cuts were amazing,” he wrote. “Great music and friendly staff. We wanted to try a new place and definitely were not disappointed. Glad we found this gem.”

Franky J, from Malverne, agreed.

“If you want good food, good drinks and a good vibe, I recommend definitely checking out Reserve,” he said.

The starter menu features Date Hush Puppies, with pecan smoked bacon, herb gorgonzola, warm bourbon walnut soy vinaigrette, micro salad ($18); Angus Sliders, char grilled. With chianti onions, smoked pork belly, smoked paprika aioli, purple cabbage topped with American cheese ($21); and Tuna Tartare, with bluefin tuna, soy ginger, sesame marinade, pickled radish and cucumber, avocado, tobiko, and toasted peanuts ($28).

They have pizzas including a Brie and Fig with whipped brie, figs, arugula. walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, fresno, fig jam, and bacon lardon ($28).

Entrees include Miso Black Sea Bass , honey soy citrus miso, coconut lemongrass brodo, forbidden ginger rice, spinach, yuzu edamame relish, aged black garlic soy (41) and Long Island Duck with fusilli pasta, duck confit, madeira duck demi, mascarpone cheese, forest mushroom, sage breadcrumbs, and ricotta salata ($34).

If steak is your game, then Reserve has a selection to choose from including a 14oz, 40-day aged, New York Strip ($81), an 8oz Filet Mignon ($88), a 36oz, 40-day aged Porterhouse ($132) and a 4ozand 8oz Kobe (MP).
