Southold Social Serving Up Farm-to-Table Dishes in Old Caci North Fork Spot

Southold Social, a new restaurant opened recently, replacing the old Caci North Fork in the same location. The kitchen is led by award-winning chef and cookbook author François Payard, who also helped open T-Bar in Southampton and assisted chef John Fraser to help him open Southold General.

The bistro opened in the newly renovated space this June. According to a story in Haute Living, Payard teamed up with restaurateur Adam Lovett to open Southold Social.

“The restaurant seeks to embrace hyperlocal maritime culture, rural wine country and farmland — highlighting local ingredients sourced from the esteemed bounty of Northfork’s agriculture and aquaculture,” the story says.

The menu includes Watermelon Feta Salad ($17), Kale and Goat Cheese ($170, and Grilled Octopus ($26) as starters. The pasta dishes on the menu features Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe, crushed tellicherry pepper, parmigiano reggiano ($18/$26), Pappardelle, eggplant & stewed tomatoes, mozzarella, basil ($19/$25), and Orecchiette, creamy summer truffle sauce, wild mushrooms ($22/$30) among others. Specialties include Seared Scottish Salmon, ratatouille niçoise, pesto oil, ($32) and Crisp Half Marrakesh Chicken, couscous, raisins, olives, cured lemon, harissa ($27). From the grill they serve up Filet Mignon ($42) and Black Sea Bass ($29).
