Syosset’s Halal City Hero Not For the Faint of Heart
Halal City opened recently in Syosset. This new restaurant is serving up the standard Halal menu items like chicken or lamb over rice ($8.99) and chicken gyro ($7.99). They also have salad platter options like chicken ($8.99), lamb ($8.99), falafel ($8.99) and fish ($8.99) and sandwiches like cheeseburgers ($4.99), chicken or Philly cheesesteak ($7.99), chicken sandwich ($4.99).
The special Halal City hero is not for the faint of heart. It’s two grilled hamburger patties that are chopped up, mozzarella sticks, and cheese on a hero roll. ($9.99). Challenge accepted!
On Yelp, Jason L, said it was about time.
“Finally! A halal spot opened up in Syosset,” he wrote. “Stopped in for lunch and was immediately greeted by super friendly employees. My combo platter came out quick and was delicious and a great portion… Can’t wait to stop in again and support a local business.”
