From Cap Toss to Forks Up! Where to Celebrate Graduation Day at Suffolk County’s Best Restaurants

As graduations roll around the corner, restaurants in Suffolk are refreshing their spring menus and preparing private event spaces for graduates and their families. Whether you are planning an intimate family dinner or a large celebration, this guide will help make your graduation festivities smooth, enjoyable, and delicious!

Old Fields Restaurant. Celebrate the day with Old Fields’ famous marinated steaks. Three private rooms are available – the Port Jeff Room, Bar Room, and Main Room – with capacities varying based on  event needs. Sunday lunch always brings about a great crowd. Deposits are required to reserve an event space. Reserve at 631-331-9200. Located at 318 Wynn Ln, Port Jefferson.

Fifth Season Restaurant. With a Spring Prix Fixe menu Tuesday-Thursday all evening, and Saturday-Friday 5-6PM, enjoy a three course dinner for $37.95. Options include seasonal soups and salad, all-natural chicken, house-made gnocchi, seasonal sorbets, and more. Happy hour is available Tuesday-Friday 4-7 PM, and all night Thursdays for $9. Drift 82.  Located on the South Shore, right on the Patchogue River, Drift 82 offers perfect beach vibes for graduation day. Plan your private party by clicking on “parties” on their website. The staff will contact you with the best accommodations based on your request and date. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. Located at 82 Brightwood St, Patchogue.

The Oar Steak and Seafood Grille. Enjoy a waterfront view and live music at The Oar Steak and Seafood Grille. This restaurant runs events all month long, making the day extra special. Prime Rib Night is every Wednesday at $32, with half price bottles of wine. A new Prix Fixe dinner menu every week at $46 is available on selected days. For Stony Brook University grads, stop in by May 23 for the Naked Truth Band from 6:30-10:30 PM. Reservations can be made by phone at 631-654-8266. Located at 264 West Ave, Patchogue.

Tap Room Patchogue. Host a casual celebration at Tap Room’s private event space and bar. Party packages include open bar, drink specials, buffet service, party platters, and the space itself. Packages start as low as $31.95 per person. Off-premises catering is available. A form can be filled out on their website to book an event. Enjoy live music and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. Limani Grille. Offering Mediterranean cuisine for brunch, lunch, and dinner, Limani offers flexible timing for graduation celebrations. Their lunch Prix Fixe menu is offered Monday-Sunday ($29) 12-3PM. Dinner Prix Fixe ($37) available Sunday-Monday all evening, Tuesday-Thursday 3:30-5:30, and Friday-Saturday 3:30-5:00. It is recommended that reservations be made sooner rather than later. This season brings about many events and celebrations, you do not want to miss out on a table at your favorite restaurant.
