Hewlett King Kullen Supermarket Location Closing Today After Expiration of Lease

After 45 years in business, the King Kullen supermarket in the Nassau County community of Hewlett is closing its doors for good on Thursday, May 21.
Located at 1765 Peninsula Boulevard, the King Kullen will officially close at 3 p.m. due to the expiration of the location’s lease agreement; a new deal with favorable conditions wasn’t able to me met with the shopping center’s landlord, according to a spokesperson for the supermarket chain.
“King Kullen is honored to have served the Hewlett community for 45 years,” the spokesperson said.
Employees of the closing location are being offered positions at the chain’s remaining 24 Nassau and Suffolk County locations.
