Introducing Bagel Boss’s Newest Creation – The Shakshuka FLAGEL

For decades, Bagel Boss has honored the classics while continually reimagining what a great bagel experience can be. Today, that tradition meets Sababa Foods and founder Amy Dell, whose breakout product Saturday Sauce launched earlier this year with one mission: to bring bold, authentic Middle Eastern flavors to food lovers everywhere.

Saturday Sauce is inspired by Amy’s family recipe—an ode to her father, a former chef and restaurateur whose homemade matbucha defined weekend mornings filled with shakshuka, salatim, and family. As Amy grew older, she carried those rituals into her own home, cooking his recipe in large batches to freeze so she’d always have it on hand. After a year of refining the recipe for market—upgrading ingredients to mostly organic and swapping seed oils for extra-virgin olive oil—Saturday Sauce was born.

Join Amy Dell for a Saturday Sauce pop-up at Bagel Boss Roslyn on December 5th from 10 AM–1 PM, where she’ll be offering samples, sharing the story behind her signature sauce, and selling jars to take home.

This limited-time dish is a celebration of heritage, flavor, and the joy of collaboration.
