Late-Night Raid in Huntington Station: Restaurant Owner Arrested After Weapon Discovered During Inspection
Suffolk County Police last night arrested the owner of a Huntington Station restaurant during an SLA Inspection.
In response to a community complaint, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector, conducted an SLA Inspection at The Three Stars Restaurant, located at 118 West Hills Road.
During the inspection, a billy club was found in the establishment. The owner, Henry Contreras Reyes, 40, of Huntington Station, was arrested for Criminal
Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, a misdemeanor, and issued a Field Appearance Ticket.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Town of Huntington Code Ordinance Inspector issued five combined Fire and Building Code Violations to the establishment. The SLA issued three violations and will be conducting a further investigation into the establishment.
The arrestee is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on February 11.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
