McDonald’s Introduces New Adult Happy Meal Featuring Collectibles of Nostalgic Characters
McDonald’s announced that they will be rolling out a new version of their iconic happy meal combo aimed specifically at adult customers that will feature not only the famous chain’s trademark fast food items, but also collectible figurines based on their nostalgic characters as well.
The “McDonaldland Meal” will officially launch throughout the country on Tuesday, August 12, and will come either a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece box of Chicken McNuggets, along with a side of French Fries. In addition, they will also be packaged with tins containing stickers and postcards featuring six different characters such as Ronald McDonald, Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie, and Mayor McCheese, according to McDonald’s U.S. marketing vice president, Jennifer Healan.
“For the first time in decades, we are taking fans on a trip to McDonaldland with an immersive experience that taps into the past to create the future,” she said. “It’s a chance for us to give fans a new, modern way to experience this magical world.”
Customers will also have the option of getting the new Mt. McDonaldland Shake, whose flavor the company is keeping a mystery that those partaking of it will have to figure out.
“Over the past few years, we’ve seen how fans flock to our characters, everyone from Grimace to the Hamburglar,” Healan said. “But many, especially the new generation, don’t know that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s an entire magical world of McDonaldland filled with characters, places and lore.”
The new McDonaldland Meal follows the recent return of the chain’s popular chicken Snack Wrap, which has proven to be a major hit with customers as well.
