Merrick’s Popular Coffee Barn Opening New Albertson Location in April
Coffee Barn, the popular java drive-through spot in Merrick that has wowed customers with their delicious and unique dessert-style drinks, is expanding by opening a new location in Albertson, according to an announcement by the business’ owners.
The new Coffee Barn will be opening its doors to offer their tasty wares – such as Rainbow Cookie Lattes, Krispy Treat Milkshakes, s’mores lattes and Dubai Chocolate Matchas – in April, said Anthony Abatemarco, son of the couple that opened the original location in 2022, Robert and Christine Abatemarco.
“After a few amazing years in Merrick, we knew now was the perfect time for another store,” Anthony said.
Anthony is the son of Robert and Christine Abatemarco, who opened the original Merrick Road location in 2022 after purchasing and converting a former Dairy Barn. Two years later, the shop’s s’mores latte went viral on social media — a moment the family says confirmed they had tapped into something special.
In addition to coffee beverages, Coffee Banr also offers specialized sodas, sandwiches, and dessert items such as sundaes, also with their own individual twists.
The Albertson Coffee Barn will be located within a former Dairy Barn on Willis Avenue, and will feature the same menu as in Merrick. The exact opening date has not yet been set.
