Movie Producer and Owner of Northport’s La Porta Restaurant Discusses New Action Movie HELLFIRE
Rob Simmons is the owner of Northport’s La Porta restaurant, located at 61 Main Street, which is heralded for its authentic Italian brick oven imported from Italy for making Neapolitan pizza, a variety of delicious and authentic Italian dishes and a craft bar. Complimented with a trendy atmosphere, ample seating and bi-folding windows that will open up the restaurant in the warmer months, La Porta has remained a popular eatery since opening their doors for business in 2022.
But another hat that Simmons wears, in addition to restauranter, is that of movie producer; he is the co-founder of JARS Media Group, which produces independent films as well as television shows and commercials, and to date his company has almost 100 works split up amongst theatrical, streaming and video-on-demand releases.
Simmons’s company’s latest production credit is 2026’s “Hellfire,” an action-thriller film directed by Isaac Florentine and written by Richard Lowry. It stars Stephen Lang, Dolph Lundgren, Harvey Keitel. The film chronicles the exploits of a drifter and ex-Green Beret – played by Lang – who arrives in a small town, only to find its residents in the grip of a ruthless crime boss, and tries to free them in a series of violent showdowns.
“It’s an interesting casting choice that we ended up with, to see those three on screen together,” said Simmons in an interview with The Northport Journal. “They all were excited to work together and meet each other, which was a nice moment to be a part of.”
Serving as Hellfire’s executive producer, Simmons compared the film to hard-edged 1980’s action classics. It was released to Video-on-Demand on streaming services in the United States on February 17. You can watch the official trailer for the explosive action flick below.

Simmons is a true entrepreneur, having founded several medical companies and restaurants, in addition to raising a family of three sons with his wife, Izabela.
