Sun’s Out, Pumpkins In: Long Island Starbucks Starts Fall Early with Pumpkin Spice Drop

A chill is in the air today and so that must mean pumpkin spice season is coming. Yep! Ready or not, fall is coming and so is the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. Starbucks is also adding new fall-flavored drinks to its menu as well.

Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) fans can now rejoice! Starbucks’ fall menu is back, launching this Thursday, August 22nd, marking what many consider the unofficial start of the season (and yes, we know it’s still August.) Alongside the return of the PSL, Starbucks is introducing the new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, bringing a fresh twist to the fall lineup. These seasonal favorites will be available for a limited time.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

The Pumpkin Spice Latte remains Starbucks’ most popular seasonal beverage. Made with real pumpkin, this handcrafted drink blends Starbucks Signature Espresso with steamed milk and a mix of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. It’s topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices, available hot, iced, or blended.

The fan-favorite Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew also returns, featuring Starbucks Cold Brew sweetened with vanilla syrup, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and pumpkin spice topping for a perfectly balanced fall sip.

Returning for its second year is the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai. Inspired by customer and barista customizations, this creamy drink pairs spiced chai with pumpkin cream cold foam and pumpkin spice topping, making it a must-try for chai lovers.

Apple Flavors For The Younger Gen

Today’s Millennial and Gen Z customers are branching out and seeking new flavor experiences. Starbucks is catering to this shift with the introduction of the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai to the 2024 fall menu. This tea-based drink taps into the growing demand for chai, which is seeing nearly 30% year-over-year growth. Starbucks also notes that younger generations are increasingly opting for cold, nondairy beverages, making this new addition a perfect fit for their evolving tastes.

The new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, which originated as a popular customer customization, is a standout addition this fall. This drink combines the warming spices of chai with creamy oat milk, topped with nondairy apple crisp cold foam, evoking the taste of homemade apple pie—a perfect sip for fall gatherings.

Also returning is the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, featuring flavors of apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar layered with rich espresso and oat milk, available hot or iced. The Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, another returning favorite, blends Starbucks Blonde Espresso with apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar, shaken and topped with oat milk for a smooth, seasonal treat.

Exclusively available through the Starbucks app are two additional fall beverages: the Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte, made with espresso, milk, apple, cinnamon, brown sugar, and topped with salted caramel cream cold foam; and the Iced Honey Apple Almondmilk Flat White, featuring Starbucks® Blonde Espresso with almond milk, honey, and nondairy apple crisp cold foam.

A Bite of Fall from the Bakery Case

The fall season wouldn’t be complete without delicious treats. For a limited time, Starbucks is offering the new Raccoon Cake Pop—vanilla cake with buttercream, dipped in chocolaty icing—alongside returning favorites like the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, and Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf. These bakery items make perfect pairings with your favorite fall drinks.
