Tap Room Opening at Former Calogero’s Italian Restaurant Spot in Garden City

Tap Room is opening its 8th location in Garden City soon, according to the owners of the restaurant chain that is popping up all over Long Island. Following on the heels of its new location in Huntington across from The Paramount at the former Craft Kitchen & Cocktails-which was Honu for years before that-the Garden City location will have the same vibe and menu as their other locations, including their tap beer menu.

When Calogero’s Italian Restaurant at 919 Franklin Avenue closed at the end of last year, it promised a new concept was coming in their place. Tap Room began construction and fitted out the space with a 200-seat dining room, a bar with about 25 stools and an event room that will hold 150 people.

No opening date has been set yet but they expect to be open in the next few weeks. Garden City will add to their multiple locations across Nassau and Suffolk Counties that includes Huntington, Bay Shore, Farmingdale, Jericho, Massapequa Park, Patchogue, and Rockville Centre.

Co-owner James Bonanno said that Garden City was an easy choice for their next location.

“It’s somewhere we have had our eye on for a long time now,” he told LongIslandRestaurnts.com. “We’re excited to be a part of the community!”

We will update this story once more information about their grand opening date becomes available.
