Sometimes when you’re hungry, there’s nothing that satisfies quite like a taco. The traditional Mexican dish –consisting of a small corn or wheat tortilla topped with fillings such as meat, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and more – has been popular for many years for a variety of reasons…not least of which is the fact that they’re just plain delicious.
In fact, tacos are so popular that they actually have a national day devoted to their celebration…and that day just so happens to be TODAY, Tuesday, October 7!
So, to honor everyone’s favorite Mexican treat there are numerous chain restaurants offering spiffy deals on National Taco Day, and a few of them you’ll find below. Enjoy!
- Taco Bell is offering, starting at 12 p.m., exclusive T-shirts and $1 Cantina Chicken Soft Tacos every other hour from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at 10 p.m., they will select 100 lucky winners to receive a $160 Taco Bell gift card!
- Margaritas is offering rewards members a free beef, chicken, or carnitas taco between 3 and 5 p.m.
- Moe’s Southwest Grill is offering $2 tacos all day at participating locations.
- Nestlé Toll House is offering limited-edition Cookie Taco kits on their website, which enable those that snag them to make yummy chocolate chip cookie tacos.
- Old El Paso is offering a nationwide sweepstakes, with the prize being a cowboy ranch getaway.
