Via Cuma Pizzeria of Valley Stream to Open Second Location in Oceanside
Via Cuma, a well-known pizzeria in Valley Stream that originally opened its doors for business in August 2024, expanded to a second location in Oceanside on Monday, April 20.
Situated at 2905 Long Beach Road, Via Cuma’s new sister location looks to capitalize on the success of it’s Valley Stream business, which was named a “top pizzeria” by Newsday in 2025, an honor that Chef Luca Schiano Di Cola takes quite seriously.
The new location is at the site of the former When Naples Street Food; when the space became available, Di Cola said that he jumped at the opportunity to open a second pizzeria.
Via Cum specializes in Neapolitan sourdough pizzas, boasting multiple varieties. And as per a quote from their website, they clearly adhere to tradition in everything they do.
“Via Cuma is not just a name; it’s a tribute to one of the most ancient and historically rich roads near Naples, Italy. Cuma, a small town near Naples, is famous for its connection to ancient Roman and Greek civilizations, but it also represents the birthplace of some of Italy’s greatest culinary traditions—none more iconic than pizza. Naples, the city that gave the world pizza, has a rich history of preserving the authenticity of this beloved dish.”
