Wingstop Proposed for Amityville Corner off Route 110
Wingstop, the fast-casual chicken spot with more than 2,000 locations, is proposing to bring another franchise to Long Island, this time in Amityville, according to a Babylon Town agenda item on the June 5th planning board meeting.
There are currently eight Wingstop locations on Long Island.
An agenda item on the Babylon Town Board Planning meeting agenda showed a franchisee looking to put a Wingstop on the southeast corner of Route 110 and Nathalie Avenue.
A 1,300-square-foot building on the property – a former service station – remains vacant.
The applicant, a Wingstop franchisee based in New Jersey, Anthony Pellizzi proposes to convert and renovate the existing building for the proposed Wingstop restaurant with exterior pick-up window, along with associated site improvements, according to the Town.
Currently, the property is zoned E Business, which doesn’t allow for a restaurant and has 37 parking spaces.
