OVERVIEW

Montauk Downs was originally developed in 1927. Robert Trent Jones Sr. redesigned the present course in 1968 with assistance from his son, Rees.”

Montauk Downs State Park was purchased by State Parks in 1980. The ever-changing wind currents off the ocean and bay can change the way the course plays each day.

Please call for operating hours. The golf course is soft spikes only.

The park also has a swimming pool and tennis courts.

The excellent tree-lined and open downland course contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and well worth going out of your way to play.
