Where to Get a Great Acai Bowl on Long Island

Acai bowls have become a staple food across Long Island in the past few years.

Made from acai berries and additional fruits, then topped with nuts, seeds, granola, coconut or honey, they make a refreshing snack or even a full meal any time of the year.

SoBol – Founded in 2014, there are locations all across the Island for SoBo so there is bound to be one near you. Stacey K, of Northport, wrote on Yelp, “I used to tease my stepdaughter about her obsession with SoBol. Until I had one myself. Now I’m the one obsessed!!”

Bango Bowls – Another chain of acai bowl shops that you can find around Long Island. On Yelp, Julien C, from Centereach, said, “super quick, friendly service, great selection, fair prices, go on get down with your banging self and bango!”

Playa Bowls – Recently opened in Miller Place, Playa Bowls was the brainchild of a Jersey Shore surfer dude and dudette.

Nooks Organic – Formerly Nooks and Kindles, this shop launched in 2014 as a healthy snack company that turned into a full grown, trendy nutritional food spot serving up acai bowls, smoothies, juices and more.

Bare Naked Bowl – Make your own acai bowl at this East Meadow shop. On Google Reviews, Michelle Lambert said, “Best acai place I’ve ever had!! Love all the different bases . They are creamy and not icy and watery like some other acai places. So many options. My favorite is acai and white coconut. It’s great they make it right in front of you and so many toppings to choose from.”
