The Paper Plane Cocktail has been around since it was invented by a bartender in Chicago back in 2008 and yes, it’s named for the song by M.I.A. that was popular that year. It’s said to be a take on a prohibition-era cocktail called The Last Word. History lesson over, let’s get to where you can find the drink on Long Island, which is made up of bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Simple and delicious. Almost any bar should be able to make you one of these but here is where Long Islanders have said they found the best ones.
