Cactus Cafe Coming to Smithtown in Former Kick’N Chicken Spot

Cactus Cafe, the chain of Long Island Tex-Mex restaurants, is opening its fifth location in Smithtown in the former Kick’N Chicken location. It was only this past spring that Cactus Cafe opened its doors in Huntington adding to spots in Medford, Glen Cove and Port Washington.

The restaurant announced the new place on Instagram saying it was hiring. 

“If you want to join the Cactus team, we’re looking for Full-Time AND Part-Time Counter & Kitchen Staff,” the post read. “Apply today and get ready for your favorite Tex-Mex to touch down in Smithtown!”

Cactus Cafe is moving in at 20 East Main Street in the Village Commons shopping center in Smithtown. Kick’N Chicken, which opened its second Long Island location there in October 2022 closed down.

Known for its brightly colored interior and festive style, the Tex Mex spot offers all your favorites like burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas, a number of rice dishes and Peruvian rotisserie chicken served with choice of sides. Cactus Cafe runs a special deal called full moon madness only after sunset on every full moon monthly and a $10 lunch special daily.
