Chip City Cookie Shop Planned For Main Street in Huntington
Signs at old Ma Belle Boutique announce opening.
From haute couture to cookies. MaBelle Boutique at 280 Main Street in Huntington is set to get a new life as a fast growing cookie shop chain, Chip City Cookies & Milk. A sign on the window of the shop announced the opening of the new shop.
The 1,500-square-foot retail space went up on the market back in April 2021 for $899,000, according to a listing by broker Scott Van Son at Berkshire Hathaway.
Chip City Cookies & Milk has other locations planned for Long Island, including Northport at 1945 Jericho Turnpike followed by Chip City Merrick opening at 2012 Merrick Road. They are also planning a shop at 1240 Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon.
Chip City began as a hobby between childhood friends Phillips and Teddy Gailas, as the duo challenged each other on who could make the best cookie. They opened their first store in Astoria Queens in 2017.
Most recently, Chip City received a $10 million investment from Shake Shack founder, Danny Meyer. Now, Chip City is expanding rapidly throughout its home market while on a path to having 40 locations by the end of 2023.
Chip City has two other locations on Long Island at 3458 Long Beach Road in Oceanside and 951 Franklin Avenue in Garden City.
