Food Truck Spot: Ali’s Halal Opens in Bay Shore
Food trucks have become the stepping stone to many restaurants getting their permanent location. Trendy in and among themselves, the food truck can also be a great place to grab your favorite food for lunch to go.
A new food truck parked itself in Bay Shore recently, serving up Halal food. Ali’s Halal has been getting five star reviews on both Google and Yelp.
Entrees include Rice and Salad with Chicken ($9.45), Lamb ($9.45), both Chicken and Lamb ($10.60), or Falafel ($9.45). They also serve wraps, sandwiches and burgers including a Gyro Wrap ($8.25) and Paratha Rolls ($4.99 for 2).
On Google, Marlaina Smith gave it five stars.
“Great food! Great customer service! He’s very kind and is good to his customers,” she wrote. “I ordered two chicken with rice and salad and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was fresh and delicious. The best falafel I’ve ever had… I will definitely be back for more.”
On Yelp, Chris G, also raved.
“Hidden gem food truck in between Islip and downtown Bay Shore,” he wrote. “Tried several halal spots and this has been the best by far.”
