French-Asian Bakery, Tous les Jours, Opens in Smithtown in Village Commons Shopping Center

Tous les Jours, the French-Asian bakery café chain offering more than 300 different kinds of artisan pastries, gourmet cakes and desserts baked in-store opened its second location on Long Island this past weekend. They opened their first Long Island store in Great Neck earlier this year at 41 Great Neck Road.

In Smithtown, Tous les Jours opened at 18-80 East Main Street in the Village Commons Shopping Center. The bakery is located where the former Starbucks coffee spot used to be, between the Northwell Health Urgent Care center and Dress Optical in the same building as Aji 53 Japanese Restaurant.

The bakery first opened in the United States in 2004 and has more than 90 locations in the country with almost 1,700 stores around the world.

This year, Tous les Jours rolled out new menu items including their Salt & Butter Roll, which is known as the “shio pan” in Japanese bakeries. According to the company, the Tous les Jours version of the Salt & Butter roll offers extra rich layers of dough full of butter, topped with sea salt “to give just the right amount of balance.” Another addition to the menu was boba, sweet tapioca pearls that can be added to any iced beverage on their menu.

The brand is expanding rapidly, expecting to hit a 110-store milestone before the end of 2023. Last year, the company made Franchise Times’ Annual Top 500 Franchises Report, the brand’s first time occupying a spot on the list. A year ago they had just hit their 80th location in the U.S.
