Owner Says Mineola Spot Will Be Biggest Lucharitos Yet, Plans to Open in December

Marc LaMaina is building quite the restaurant empire across Long Island and it seems he has no plans to stop anytime soon. In an interview with LongIslandRestaurants.com, LaMaina dished on some details about the Lucharitos Tex-Mex restaurant he’s building in Mineola.

“It’s the biggest one yet,” he said.

LaMaina has Lucharitos locations in Melville, Center Moriches, Mattituck, and Greenport. He also has a Burgercade in Riverhead and a Good Jujus BBQ & Seafood Shack in Aquebogue.

The new space is on the bottom floor of the beautifully designed Morgan Parc luxury apartment building in Mineola, his first in Nassau County. It’s a 4,000 square foot space with plans for 120 seats. There will be a bar, dining room and a grab and go section for easy takeout. Construction is ongoing and LaMaina says the plan is to open around Christmas time.

His partner in the Mineola location is Kevin Mannix, who is also a partner in the Melville spot.

The menu, which is coming together, will combine some of the best sellers from Burgercade and Good Jujus as well as Lucharitos. He also said there will be pasta, a “great” salad and vegetarian offerings as well.

“It’s a more diverse menu but still in our wheelhouse,” LaMaina said. “There’s something for everyone.”
