Plans Revealed For Aldi to Go Into Old King Kullen Spot in Lake Ronkonkoma

The Kohl’s Shopping Center on Ronkonkoma Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma is getting a new tenant. Plans for an Aldi to go into the old King Kullen store location were reviewed at the February 26th Brookhaven Town Planning Board meeting.

The application includes a plan to renovate and revitalize the entire facade of the shopping center and for Aldi to acquire the space at 45 Ronkonkoma Avenue.

The vacant space since King Kullen left is about 33,000 square feet, according to. Aldi will take up 21,000 square feet of that space, leaving 12,000 square feet still vacant in the site. There was no discussion on plans for the remaining vacancies.

The work will include renovating the facade and paving and striping in the parking lot.

The application was placed on the decision calendar by the board.
