Rocky Point ALDI Set to Have Grand Opening on Thursday July 27th

ALDI in Rocky Point is set for a grand opening on Thursday, July 27th. Rocky Point residents have been watching progress as the storefront was transformed over the last year or so, expecting a new option in the area for grocery shopping. Currently the closest stores are Stop & Shop in Rocky Point and Miller Place or a trip east to King Kullen in Wading River.

And with the expected arrival of Trader Joe’s in Miller Place in about a year and a half the alternatives are growing.

The ALDI business model is intentionally different. Local shoppers can experience the ALDI difference themselves when the new Rocky Point store opens on July 27th, at 8:30am. The store will be open daily from 9am to 8pm.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Chris Daniels, South Windsor regional vice president for ALDI. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Rocky Point and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

The first 100 customers will receive a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card during the opening weekend from July 27 through July 30.

The ALDI is opening at 75 NY 25A in Rocky Point in Crossroads Plaza, the shopping center where Modell’s Sporting Goods used to be.
