Shellabration Returns to Greenport Village on December 2-3, 2023
The Shellebration is back! Greenport Village will host its 12th annual Shellabration on December 2-3, 2023, from Noon to 4pm each day. This anticipated event promises a weekend of gastronomic delights and community support, showcasing the best of Greenport’s culinary scene.
During this two-day restaurant walk, attendees with official Shellabration wristbands will have exclusive access to Greenport’s premier eateries. Indulge in locally sourced shellfish, expertly paired with Long Island’s finest wines and craft beers. What makes this event even more special is that all proceeds will directly contribute to the Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program’s vital shellfish restoration and community stewardship projects, with a focus on supporting the SPAT Program (Suffolk Project in Aquaculture Training) and the Back to the Bays Initiative.
Participating restaurants, easily identifiable by the official Shellabration wristbands, will offer a tantalizing array of small plate menu items featuring the region’s freshest shellfish. These delectable dishes will be thoughtfully complemented by tasting pours of local wines, craft beers, and spirits. To add to the excitement, local shops will be joining the festivities, providing special promotions exclusively for Shellabration participants.
