South Swell Opens at Bergen Bay Docks in West Babylon
From the people who brought you Swell Taco, a new food spot has opened at Bergen Bay Docks in West Babylon called South Swell.
The folks at South Swell said they “just opened a few weeks ago” in response to an Instagram message asking about the endeavor. “We are an offshoot concept of our Babylon location, Swell Taco!”
They’re just ramping up this month and their upcoming weekend hours are Fridays, open for lunch and happy hour. Saturday and Sunday, open for breakfast, lunch and happy hour starting at 6am.
A glimpse at the menu shows a hemlock breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, pinto beans, salsa fresca and chipotle sauce. ($9.99). Add bacon or papas for $2 or steak, sausage or avocado for $3. Their Bergen BEC is bacon, eggs and American cheese on a brioche roll ($6.99) and add salt, pepper, ketchup and/or Swell Sauce. They also have a churro waffle with Nutella and banana slices ($7).
Among other breakfast items there is also a litany of tacos (what did you expect from the people who brought you Swell Taco!?) including a delicious sounding chicken barbacoa with shredded lettuce, salsa verde, crema and queso fresca ($4.99) and a fried shrimp taco with shredded lettuce, salsa verde and crema ($4.99). They’ve also got wraps and bowls including a grilled mahi bowl ($14.99).
Don’t forget the margs at happy hour (or any hour for that matter!)
