Sweet! Watermelon Eating Contest at Harbes Annual Watermelon Festival This Weekend
Watermelon fans rejoice! The annual watermelon festival at Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck is finally here. Cap off your summer during the sweetest harvest on Long Island.
For those who just can’t get enough watermelon, don’t miss their famous Watermelon Eating Contests. Contests will be held in the Barnyard Adventure at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm on both Saturday & Sunday. First come, first served. Participation limited. Must purchase Barnyard admission to participate.
The Harbes Annual Watermelon Festival takes place on Saturday, August 26th and Sunday, August 27th, from 10 am-7 pm. There will be plenty of watermelon to snack on and lots of fun, too, including live music. Nick Kerzner is scheduled to perform original music and covers from the ’60s to today in rock, alternative, and popular genres in an acoustic style. Sunday, singer/guitarist Matt Taylor will be performing.
