Chicken + Tacos Opening in Shoreham at Former Country Rotisserie Spot
A new restaurant called chicken + tacos is set to open next to eat + drink in the Shoreham Plaza shopping center at 99 Route 25A. They are taking over the former Country Rotisserie space, which closed after 23 years in June.
One of the proprietors of the restaurant – who only identified himself as Jose when LongIslandRestaurants.com went to visit the new spot on Sunday night – said that he is partnering up with the owners of eat + drink for the new endeavor (hence the similarity in the style of the name).
Jose described the food as being similar to Country Rotisserie’s offerings.
A temporary menu given to us lists a number of items for their soft opening.
They include appetizers like chicken wings ($9.95), chicken tenders ($9.45) and chicken or beef nachos grande ($11.45). They offer salads like Caesar ($9.75) and a gorgonzola ($10.45). Burgers with French fries ($10.45), Philly cheesesteak ($12.45) and steak sandwiches ($12.95) along with chicken sandwiches like fajita ($10.85) and crispy Buffalo ($10.95) round out the hand-helds.
They also have wraps, burritos and a selection of whole rack of ribs or whole chicken rotisserie family combos. Of course as the name suggests, they also serve a variety of tacos in two styles, original (chopped onion, cilantro and hot sauce) and Tex-Mex (lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and cheese).
On the windows they also advertise pupusas, quesadillas and bowls, all of which are coming soon.
According to Jose, chicken + tacos is set for its soft opening on Monday, November 13th.
